Developed by the New Zealand Forest Owners Association (NZFOA), and endorsed by other major industry organistions, it is designed to help forest managers, contractors and their staff take into account the many factors which influence forest management and operations. The Code is based around18 Best Environmental Management Practices (BEPs) which are structured as practical decision-making and audit tools and supported by extensive background material.
