The forest industries sector is vitally important to the New Zealand economy - as an export earner and as an employer.
It's believed that there are more career choices within forest industries than any other sector in New Zealand industry.
And there's a lot more to forest industries than simply growing trees, chopping them down and cutting them up. Opportunities include careers in specialised fields like bio-security and bio-genetics, as well as pulp, paper and wood products manufacturing.
